Emotionally Focused Therapy Training

EFT Externships and Core Skills training are designed for counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and other mental health professionals who want to learn Emotionally Focused Therapy. Registrants will be required to declare their professional designation when booking. If you are not sure if you are eligible to book please email me at helene@counselling4couples.co.uk.

Externship Training in 2022

The Externship is the foundation training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and focuses on working with couples in distress. Participants may be interested in working with couples but not have started yet or they may be experienced at working with couples and be interested in how Emotionally Focused Therapy can improve their client work.

Structure/Content: Registration starts on the 1st day at 8.30 a.m. to finish 5.00 p.m. The following 3 days will run 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m., with an optional Home Group from 8.25 - 8.55 a.m.

On completion of the 28 hours of training participants will receive an Externship Certificate of Attendance. You will also be eligible to join ICEEFT and have your information put on their directory and then will be able to become full members of the British EFT Centre and have your information on this directory.

Cost: The standard cost of the Externship is £800, £200 per training day. Early Bird from £700

Core Skills Training in 2022

Have you completed your EFT Externship and are looking for the next level of EFT training? If so, it is Core Skills that you are looking for to deepen your understanding and hone your EFT skills.

The course has 16-20 participants and will include experiential group work, skills practice, video reviews and case presentations to consolidate and extend your learning from the Externship. You will need to be working with at least one couple before ending the Core Skills as during one of the modules you will need to present to the group a 15-20 minute video or audio recording and overview of your work with a couple purely for developmental feedback. The case presentation is not an assessment, but is a requirement for completion of the Core Skills training.

Cost £100 non-refundable deposit payable on registration. From £1650 Early Bird for all 4 modules.

Core Skills starting September 2022

This set of Core Skills will run from September to December 2022 and led by Sandra Taylor and Helene Igwebuike, ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainers.

Dates: This workshop will be run in 4 x 2 day workshops

Core Skills 1 & 2 - 12th - 15th September, 2022
Core Skills 3 & 4 - 5th - 8th December, 2022

Timing: 9.30 - 4.30 each day with registration from 9.10 - 9.30 on the first days.

Venue: The entire course will be run face to face in London. Venue tbc

Cost and Payment options: £100 non-refundable deposit payable on registration. From £1650 Early Bird for all 4 modules.
